Syracuse Police trying to ID suspect in stolen purse case

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - Syracuse Police are asking for the public’s help as they try to identify a suspect who was caught on surveillance camera stealing a purse from a shop on North Clinton Street.

Police began investigating the case on Feb. 8 when an employee at the store reported the theft around 2:30 p.m.

She told police that the purse had been stolen within the last hour while she was in the back room of the store.

'The victim told police that the purse contained her credit card, her ID, and cash.

Video shows a suspect entering the store, looking around for a short period of time, and stealing the purse from behind a desk.
