Tompkins County man charged after alleged underage drinking party

LANSING, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - A Tompkins County man is facing child endangerment charges after the Sheriff’s Office responded to a home and found approximately 50 teenagers running away.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, they found one 16-year-old girl who was “unable to walk on her own and was heavily intoxicated” when they arrived at the scene on Buck Road in the town of Lansing.

They charged 23-year-old David McKane with endangering the welfare of a child.

He posted bail following the arrest and was released.

The Sheriff’s Office says Deputies helped a number of Lansing Central School students return to their homes safely.
