The Rome School District says the budget passed, with a vote of:
Yes: 999 votes - 54%
No: 860 votes - 46%
Voters rejected a $107 million budget proposal in May, which would have included 68 employee reductions.
The revised budget is $108.2 million.
The district and state lawmakers announced on Monday that $400,000 had been secured in state grants to supplement the budget.
Senator Joseph A. Griffo and Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi said the state money was pledged to the district after it agreed to submit to a State Comptroller’s audit.
Additional details on the Rome City School District budget are available on the district’s website.
