What's happening on the site of the old Le Moyne Manor: Your Stories

SALINA, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - Once a hot spot for live bands and dinner parties, Le Moyne Manor on Old Liverpool Road is now well-known for being an eyesore Town of Salina.

Old Liverpool Road provides easy access to I-81 and the Thruway and is filled with local businesses and restaurants, so it’s no surprise that developers at Longley Jones are eager to get rolling on construction for proposed luxury apartments at the Le Moyne Manor site.

The spacious property would include rooftop views overlooking Onondaga Lake and the Lakeview Amphitheater.

Plans to bring new life to the old Le Moyne Manor spot cannot begin until the town of Salina gives the green light.

"That's what's in front of the board now to change that zoning designation from a commercial zoning to apartments so we're going to review what they're thinking of doing. We're going to hear some public input. We're excited to entertain anything that's going to go there and this is the first thing that's been a serious project that's come in front of us,” said town supervisor Mark Nicotra.

The vote for the zone change is set for Feb. 12.

If approved, the look and layout will then go before the Salina planning and zoning board.
