Geddes (WSYR-TV) - Question: Will the new veteran status on a New York State driver’s license work as proof for free admission to the State Fair on Military Appreciation Day?

Answer: State Fair spokesman Dave Bullard says yes. On Thursday, Aug. 28, active duty military and veterans will be admitted for free to the State Fair with the new veteran status on driver’s licenses, military I.D. or military discharge papers.

Bullard says the State Fair wants as many veterans as possible to come and hopes this will make it easier for them to do so.
