Ithaca Police release surveillance video showing burglary suspect

Ithaca Police are asking for the public’s help after a burglary suspect was caught on tape smashing a glass door at a business on Taber Street.
Ithaca (WSYR-TV) – Ithaca Police are asking for the public’s help after a burglary suspect was caught on tape smashing a glass door at a business on Taber Street.

Police responded to the scene at 902 Taber Street around 2:42 a.m. on Sunday morning.

They found a smashed glass entry and also a number of other doors that had been damaged.

Police say money and other items were stolen from the business.

While they were investigating the Taber Street break-in, police say they heard another alarm and discovered that the Ithaca Grain and Pet Supply on West Seneca Street had been broken into.

They say the suspect is a black male with an athletic build.

During the incident, he was reportedly wearing a light-colored cardigan, jeans with white stitching on the back, and black sneakers, as well as plaid or flannel shirt over his face.
