Police arrest burglary suspect in barbershop ‘Caught on Tape’ case

North Syracuse Police have arrested a man who they believe was "Caught on Tape" breaking into a barbershop that once employed him.

North Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - North Syracuse Police have arrested a man who they believe was "Caught on Tape" breaking into a barbershop that once employed him.

North Syracuse Police say Bruce Caskinette stole cash from several employees’ lockers when he broke into Nick’s Barber Shop on North Main Street in the village.

They say NewsChannel 9's On The Lookout segment was instrumental in their investigation.
While searching Caskinette’s home, police say they found a handgun.

Police charged Caskinette with:

  • Burglary, a class D felony
  • Fourth degree grand larceny, a class E felony
  • Criminal possession of stolen property, a class E felony
  • Criminal possession of a weapon, a class C felony
  • Criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor

Caskinette was arraigned and taken to the Onondaga County Justice Center.
