Sheriff’s Office 'On The Lookout' for suspect in North Syracuse bank robbery

The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office is “On The Lookout” for a man they say robbed a bank in the village of North Syracuse while wearing a mask on Monday afternoon.

North Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office is “On The Lookout” for a man they say robbed a bank in the village of North Syracuse while wearing a mask on Monday afternoon.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, a man entered the Seneca Federal Savings and Loan Bank at 201 N. Main Street at about 2:55 p.m. and demanded money.

Deputies say the suspect fled the scene from the rear doors of the bank and was last seen running west through the bank’s parking lot towards the North Syracuse Fire Department.

No weapons were threatened or displayed and no injuries were reported.

They described the suspect as:
  • Caucasian male
  • 6’3” tall
  • Weighing approximately 180 pounds
  • Wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, white sunglasses and a mask
The robbery is being investigated by the Sheriff’s Office and North Syracuse Police.
