SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - Jim Boeheim is putting together quite a nice recruiting class for next year.
On Wednesday evening, Jalen Carey took to social media and officially picked the Orange over UConn becoming SU's third member of the 2018 recruiting class.
Miami was also in the running up until last week.
Carey eliminated the Hurricanes after the school was referred to in the FBI's recent investigation. Villanova and Kansas had also offered scholarships and were very interested.
Carey is currently ranked #34 in the ESPN 100. He's listed at 6'3" and can play either guard position. During the AAU circuit over the summer, Carey averaged better than 18 points per game and made about 44% of his three-point attempts.
