Game Recap:

For the first time this season, the Syracuse Orange hit the road, traveling to Death Valley to take on 25th ranked LSU.

The Tigers raced out to a 21-3 lead, only to have Syracuse storm back before holding off the Orange 35-26.

Steve Ishmael would pull SU to within two on a 22 yard touchdown pass from Eric Dungey.

Ishmael continued his breakout senior season, hauling in 11 passes for 123 yards.

With 1:52 left to play, DJ Chark scored for the Tigers, setting the final score.

The SU defense was solid all night long, coming up with two sacks, a interception and a safety.

Eric Dungey was 32-53 for 265 yards and one touchdown and an interception.

Erv Philips tied for a game-high with 11 receptions.


Side Notes:

LSU out gained Syracuse 414 yards to 384.

The Tigers have now won 49 straight games at home against non-conference opponents.
