Syracuse's Geno Thorpe leaves the men's basketball program for personal reasons

Thorpe was a graduate transfer from South Florida

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -  

In a release from Syracuse Athletics, SU guard Geno Thorpe has left the Men's basketball program for personal reasons.

Thorpe came to Syracuse as a graduate transfer from South Florida.

In six games this season for the Orange, Thorpe was averaging six points a game.

Syracuse returns to action on Saturday when the Orange takes on #2 Kansas in Miami.  Tip off for Saturday's game is at 5:30 p.m.
