Brandon Triche to throw out first pitch at Chiefs’ opener

Less than one week after the Syracuse University men’s basketball team’s appearance in the NCAA Tournament's Final Four, Brandon Triche is set to throw out the first pitch at the Syracuse Chiefs’ season opener on Friday.
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Less than one week after the Syracuse University men’s basketball team’s appearance in the NCAA Tournament's Final Four, Brandon Triche is set to throw out the first pitch at the Syracuse Chiefs’ season opener on Friday.

The Jamesville-DeWitt High School product completed his senior season with the Orange’s fifth Final Four appearance.

Triche, the all-time games played leader for Syracuse University basketball, finished second on the team in scoring at 13.6 points per game in 2013. He started all 147 games in his Syracuse University career.

The Chiefs season opener is against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs at 2 p.m. at NBT Bank Stadium.
