Hobart upsets SU men’s lax

The Hobart men’s lacrosse team claimed the Kraus-Simmons Trophy for the first time since 1986 after upsetting Syracuse University 13-12 Tuesday night at the Carrier Dome.
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – The Hobart men’s lacrosse team claimed the Kraus-Simmons Trophy for the first time since 1986 after upsetting Syracuse University 13-12 Tuesday night at the Carrier Dome.

Alex Love scored the game winner for the Statesmen with 2:13 remaining. The Geneva native scored a game high seven points on six goals and one assist.

SU – ranked No. 3 in the latest InsideLacrosse.com poll – fell to 9-3 on the season.

Hobart improved to 6-6. Dylan Donahue led SU with three goals. JoJo Marasco had two goals and one assist.

SU’s next game is at Georgetown on Saturday at 1 p.m.
