Reports: Oklahoma QB to transfer to SU

According to multiple media reports, former Oklahoma quarterback Drew Allen will transfer to Syracuse University.
SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV/ESPN) - According to multiple media reports, former Oklahoma quarterback Drew Allen will transfer to Syracuse University.

He is eligible to compete for the starting position this upcoming season because he has one year of eligibility remaining after graduating from Oklahoma.

Allen told ESPN, "Syracuse is a great decision for me because coach [Scott] Shafer and his staff have given me an opportunity to come in and compete for the starting job."

Syracuse will hold its last open practice for the spring on Sunday.  The team will take the field at 1:30 p.m. at the Schwartzwalder-Katz practice fields in the Lampe Athletics Complex behind Manley Field House.

Th team's annual spring game is April 20 at the Carrier Dome at noon.

The first game for the Orange is August 31 against Penn State at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.  Click here for the team's full schedule.
