NEW YORK (WSYR-TV) - SU's all-time passing leader Ryan Nassib is headed to the NFL.

Nassib was drafted Saturday by the New York Giants in the fourth round.  He was the 110th pick overall.

Before the draft, some insiders thought the SU alum was going to be chosen the first round of the draft on Thursday night.

Nassib is the second former Orange star to be drafted by the Giants this year.  Offensive lineman Justin Pugh was picked up by the Giants in the first round.

Nassib played four seasons for Syracuse University. He finished his collegiate career with 9,190 yards passing on 791 completed passes. Both of those stats are school records.

In his senior season, Nassib led the Big East Conference with 312.3 yards per game and 301.6 yards passing per game.

He also set the Orange’s single-season records for completions (283), yards (3,619), and touchdowns (24).
