Syracuse women's basketball team falls to Creighton in NCAA tournament

The 7th-seeded Orange lost 61-56 to 10th-seeded Creighton.
KNOXVILLE, Tennessee (WSYR-TV) - The Syracuse women's basketball team lost to the 10th-seeded Creighton Blue Jays 61-56 Saturday in the NCAA Tournament.

Playing at the University of Tennessee, the 7th-seeded Orange were down three points with about 16 seconds left.  However, the Orange could not convert on its final possession.

Senior Kayla Alexander led the Orange with 23 points, eight rebounds and one steal.

If the Orange had won, it would have been the first NCAA Tournament victory in team history.
