Breanna Stewart to play in WNBA All-Star Game

SEATTLE, Wa (WSYR-TV) - Breanna Stewart has been named to her first WNBA All-Star Game.  The league's coaches have voted her to the roster as a reserve.

Stewart is in her second year with the Seattle Storm of the WNBA.

Last season, she was named Rookie of the Year. This season, she's averaging better than 19 points and nine rebounds per game.

She's been even better than that of late-- in her last five games, Breanna is averaging 24.4 points.

The former C-NS star won four national titles in college at UConn and is the first basketball player in history to be named the Final Four's most outstanding player four times.

You can watch Saturday's WNBA All-Star Game beginning at 3:30 p.m. on NewsChannel 9.
