Bills head coach Marrone had cancerous mole removed

Buffalo (WSYR-TV) – Buffalo Bills Head Coach Doug Marrone had a cancerous mole on his skin removed recently, according to statement released by the team.

The statement says Marrone had the mole removed during a recent doctor’s visit.

The procedure is not expected to affect Marrone’s ability to coach this year.

The Buffalo Bills official team website posted, then removed a story which stated the 49-year-old head coach is battling cancer.

Marrone was the head coach of the Syracuse University football team from 2009 to 2012 and went 25-25 during his stint before taking the reins in Buffalo.
