Cornell men's lacrosse season ends after loss to Maryland

College Park, MD (WSYR-TV) - Despite leading 5-1 at halftime, the Cornell men's lacrosse team lost to the University of Maryland on Saturday.

Maryland scored the final three goals of the game, including one by Mike Chanenchuk, who scored with two seconds to go to give Maryland an 8-7 win.

The loss bounces Cornell from the NCAA Tournament.

If SU wins on Sunday, the Orange will face Maryland.

The Big Red finishes the season with an 11-5 record.
