San Antonio Spurs trump 2-time defending champs Miami Heat to capture NBA Championship

San Antonio, Texas (WSYR-TV) - The San Antonio Spurs are champions again.

The Spurs defeated the two-time defending champions Miami Heat Sunday night by a score of 104-87.

The Spurs won the series four games to one.

In Game 5, Tim Duncan scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Spurs while Kawhi Leonard added 22 points and 10 rebounds.

LeBron James scored 31 points for the Heat. Chris Bosh scored 13 and Dwyane Wade scored 11.
It is the Spurs' fifth NBA Championship.
