Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – The Syracuse Chiefs will be hosting the city’s official fireworks on July 4 and the show will be free – but you’ll need a voucher for a free ticket to attend.

The Chiefs will feature the fireworks following their 7 p.m. game against the Pawtucket Red Sox at NBT Stadium.

Fans can pick up vouchers for free general-admission tickets at the following locations:

  • Syracuse Parks Department office (412 Spencer Street)
  • Revolutions (Destiny USA)
  • Tops Markets in Valley Plaza, Shop City, Pond Street, Nottingham Plaza, Westvale Plaza, East Genesee Street, Dewitt, Baldwinsville, Camillus, and Airport Plaza

Chiefs’ officials say fans with general-admission tickets will be able to upgrade their seats for lower-level tickets at the NBT Bank Stadium ticket office. Lower-level seats will be sold regularly.

No outside food or drink will be permitted within the stadium and all bags will be subject to being searched.

Gates open at 6 p.m. and parking is $5.
