Boston College hands SU first loss of season, 62-59 in overtime

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Former Big East foe Boston College handed the top-ranked Syracuse Orange its first defeat on Wednesday 62-59 in overtime at the Carrier Dome.

The Eagles (7-19) were led by sophomore guard Olivier Hanlan who had 20 points.

Senior C.J. Fair posted 20 points and 11 rebounds for the Orange in a losing effort.

Tyler Ennis, the freshman point guard phenom, had 7 assists for SU.

SU sported “throwback” uniforms from Nike, which featured an orange top with blue shorts.

With the loss, #1 SU’s record is now 25-1 (12-1 ACC).

Up next, the Orange travel to Durham, North Carolina on Saturday to battle the Duke Blue Devils.

The game is set to tipoff at 7 p.m. and can be watched on ESPN.
