Colgate’s winningest football coach retires

With more wins than any other coach in the history of Colgate University football, Dick Biddle announced his retirement on Monday afternoon.
Hamilton (WSYR-TV) – With more wins than any other coach in the history of Colgate University football, Dick Biddle announced his retirement on Monday afternoon.

Biddle has been at the helm of the Red Raiders’ program for 18 seasons, amassing seven Patriot League titles and a 137-73 record.

His successor, Dan Hunt, was set to be announced as the new head coach at a Tuesday press conference.

In 2003, Colgate advanced to the NCAA Division 1AA tournament championship.

Biddle has been named Patriot League Coach of the Year on five occasions.
