Cornell wrestler makes history with 4th national championship

Cornell University wrestler Kyle Dake made history over the weekend when he won his fourth NCAA title.
Des Moines, Iowa (WSYR-TV) – Cornell University wrestler Kyle Dake made history over the weekend when he won his fourth NCAA title.

The Lansing High School graduate is the first wrestler in NCAA history to claim four titles in four weight classes.

On Saturday, Dake defeated Penn State’s David Taylor 5-4 to secure the title.

Cornell finished fifth overall in the tournament. Dake earned Outstanding Wrestler honors.

Dake concluded his Big Red career with a 137-4 record.
