  • 'Cuse football adds Wagner to complete 2018 non-conference schedule

    The Syracuse University football team will host FCS opponent Wagner College at the Carrier Dome on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018. The two schools announced the game in a joint release on Monday, June 26. The addition of Seahawks to next year’s schedule completes the Orange’s 2018 non-conference slate, which also features a home date with Connecticut (Sept. 29) and road games against Western Michigan (Sept. 1) and Notre Dame (Nov. 17).

  • Tyler Lydon picked 24th overall; off to Denver Nuggets

    Former Syracuse University forward Tyler Lydon is taking his talents to the Mile High City, after being selected 24th overall in the 2017 NBA Draft. The Utah Jazz picked Lydon, but sent him to the Denver Nuggets as part of a draft night trade. Lydon is the tenth SU player picked in the first round since 2008.

  • Jim Boeheim to coach against son in season opener

    Syracuse will host long-time rival Cornell in its 2017-18 men’s basketball season opener on Friday, November 10, in the Carrier Dome. One Big Red program newcomer is freshman forward Jimmy Boeheim (Jamesville-DeWitt), the son of Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim.

    Louisville men’s basketball coach Rick Pitino must sit out five conference games next season in the wake of a sex scandal that rocked the Cardinals program two years ago.
