2 charged in series of thefts from vehicles in Oswego County

The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office has charged two men in connection to a rash of thefts from vehicles in the town of Minetto – including the theft of a handgun.

Oswego (WSYR-TV) – The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office has charged two men in connection to a rash of thefts from vehicles in the town of Minetto – including the theft of a handgun.

Deputies charged 19-year-old Damien Bartlett of River Road in Port Byron and 22-year-old Randy Shoults of Ridge Road in Oswego with nine counts of criminal possession of stolen property as a result of their investigation into the theft of various items including GPS devices, cigars, a DeWalt saw, and personal papers.

The materials they’re accused of stealing were located at a residence in the town of Oswego.

They were also charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, both felonies.

All of the thefts they are accused of occurred in September.

Both Bartlett and Shoults were initially arraigned in Town of Oswego Court and then subsequently arraigned in Town of Minetto Court.

They were both taken to the Oswego County Jail.

No bail was set for Bartlett.

Shoults’ bail was set for $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
