Cortland County Sheriff’s Office looking for suspect after armed robbery

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect who robbed a Tops grocery store while wielding a knife.
Cortlandville (WSYR-TV) – The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect who robbed a Tops grocery store while wielding a knife.

The robbery reportedly occurred around 3:20 a.m. on Tuesday morning at the store located on State Route 281 in the town of Cortlandville.

The suspect showed a knife and demanded money. He then ran to a vehicle that was parked nearby and drove off.

They described the suspect as a white male who is between 5-foot-9 or 5-10. He was also described as being in his 20s.

They say he has a slender build and was wearing a snug, form-fitting, multi-colored hoodie, along with dirty, baggy jeans or sweatpants during the time of the incident.

He reportedly covered his face with a red bandana during the alleged robbery.

No one was injured during the incident.
