Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Two schools in the Syracuse City School District have been named to a state list of “Persistently Dangerous Schools.”

The State Education Department listed 30 schools for the upcoming school year – including Danforth Middle School and Lincoln Middle School.

The list is based on violent and disruptive incident reports.

Both schools are dealing with a district-wide problem of suspensions.

The State Attorney General’s office is working with the district to improve its policies on discipline by the start of the upcoming school year.
