Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Meghan DeSocio's special day is all planned. The date is booked and invitations are ready to go. But, the wedding party needs a ride after Caz Limo suddenly closed.

"My future brother-in-law texted me today and asked if we are using Caz Limo and I said 'yeah, but I've been trying to get ahold of them and haven't had any success," DeSocio said.

Customers found a note posted on Caz Limo's front door on Wednesday, blaming a "financial situation." A company rep told NewsChannel 9 that a bank seizure froze their accounts to satisfy a judgment.

DeSocio wonders why she didn't get any warning.

“I mean at least an email or a call. I put a lot of money down just to get ahead of everything and make sure we were all squared away and now I am out X amount of dollars," DeSocio said.

Boy Scout Troop 157 has reservations for a trip to camp in Rhode Island this summer. They've been using Caz Limo for over a decade.

"I've been hearing from parents all day now from the troop. What are we going to do? I have no answers yet. Nobody has contacted us," said Ellie Childs with Boy Scout Troop 157.

Childs says the Boy Scouts raised a $500 deposit for the trip. Caz Limo has promised they will issue necessary refunds.

"Hopefully we get our deposit back or it gets transferred to another company. If not, we have to start from scratch raising money again, and you know it's not easy," Childs said.

DeSocio's contract shows that Caz Limo can transfer her to another firm to fulfill the reservation. Birnie Bus Service announced that they are in negotiations to help provide an alternative for customers.

But, at the moment they will not be honoring deposits already paid to Caz Limo. Customers will have to recover that cash on their own and pay for new reservations in-full.

If you'd like to reach Birnie Bus Service to switch a reservation, call 1-800-734-3950. A spokesperson said he expects to reach out to as many Caz Limo customers as possible to schedule new trips quickly.

Onondaga Coach has also been fielding emergency calls and is working to fit more trips into their schedule, though they have not been contacted by Caz Limo to negotiate any transfer of customers.

Even if the bank releases their accounts in the next week, it's not clear if Caz Limo will stay in business.

The bride-to-be has a little time to wait for answers. Her wedding will be held at the end of May. But, she's eager to arrange a back-up plan.

"If it's a limo or not, we'll get there somehow. If we have to go in the back of a pick-up truck, we'll get there," Meghan said.
