Cops: Drunk driver hits teenager riding bike in City of Oswego

A teenager in the City of Oswego was taken to the hospital after being struck by a drunk driver while riding his bike, according to Oswego City Police.
Oswego (WSYR-TV) - A teenager in the City of Oswego was taken to the hospital after being struck by a drunk driver while riding his bike, according to Oswego City Police.

Police say the 15-year-old boy was riding his bike south on West Second Street at about 7:35 p.m. on Wednesday when he was hit by a 2001 Chevrolet traveling west on West Albany Street.

The teenager was taken to Upstate University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Chevrolet, 37-year-old Robert Allen Jr. of the City of Oswego, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal of a Breath Screening Device.

Allen was being held at the Oswego Police Department awaiting arraignment in the Oswego City Court.
