Counselor at special-needs group home sentenced to probation after admitting to oral sex with underage resident

A counselor at a special needs group home in Syracuse who pleaded guilty to one of the charges against him was sentenced on Friday.
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - A counselor at a special needs group home in Syracuse who pleaded guilty to one of the charges against him was sentenced on Friday.

22-year-old Markeem Chaplin was sentenced to 10 years of probation and must register as a Level II sex offender.

Chaplin, who was arrested in October 2013, admitted to engaging in oral sex with a 16-year-old resident.

He was associated with Toomey Residential and Community Services at the time of the incident.
