One killed in ATV crash in Tully

One person is dead after an ATV crash in Tully, according to the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office.

Tully (WSYR-TV) - One person is dead after an ATV crash in Tully, according to the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff Kevin Walsh says 28-year old Henry Meddley of Tully was backing out of his driveway onto Route 11, when he crossed into the path of an oncoming Ford Focus. He did not survive the impact.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover.

911 dispatchers called emergency crews to the area around 1:52 p.m. on Sunday.

Route 11 from Marybelle Road to Meetinghouse Road is shut down while deputies investigate.

No tickets have been issued at this time.
