Snowmobile event hopes to put Tug Hill in Guinness Book of World Records

The Tug Hill Plateau could soon be in the Guinness Book of World Records for the most snowmobiles on a single ride.
Osceola (WSYR-TV) – The Tug Hill Plateau could soon be in the Guinness Book of World Records for the most snowmobiles on a single ride.

The record is being attempted by the Osceola Snowmobile Association which is holding the event on Saturday, Feb. 1 at Cedar Pines in Osceola.

The group invites any snowmobiler in Central New York and beyond to join them to help break the record. Click here for more information.

Event organizer Doug Nichols says that because the Tug Hill gets national attention for its snow, it should for its snowmobiling too.

The current record holder is the state of Wisconsin with 820 sleds.
