State Police: Truck stop worker stole over $8k in less than 2 months from employer

State Police say a Lewis County man has been arrested after being accused of stealing over $8,000 from his employer in less than two months.
Pamelia (WSYR-TV) - State Police say a Lewis County man has been arrested after being accused of stealing over $8,000 from his employer in less than two months.

38-year-old John Garrison of Castorland, who was a store manager at Longway’s Truck Stop in the town of Pamelia, is accused of altering several Comdata checks and stealing approximately $8,753 from Nov. 29 to Jan. 8.

Garrison has been charged with Grand Larceny in the 3rd Degree, a Class D felony and five counts of Falsifying Business Records in the 1st Degree, a Class E felony.

He was arraigned in the Town of Pamelia Court and taken to the Jefferson County Public Safety Building on $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bail bond.
