Syracuse police are sending out an alert for help as they search for a 71 year old woman who was reported missing on Friday.

Madama Pascasie is from the Congo and speaks Swahili. Besides a daughter, she does not have family or friends in the area.

She's described as 5-feet-6-inches tall, weighing about 120 pounds, with short dark hair in small braids. She was last seen wearing a yellow head wrap, a gray and black coat, and jeans.

The daughter told police that Pascasie has been symptoms of dementia, though she has not been diagnosed. She left her home on the 600-block of Ash Street without being noticed.

Pascasie was lost once before, and tried to enter a home in DeWitt claiming she was looking for her family.
