While you may think the cold we experienced this winter would kill many ticks, entomologists at SUNY ESF say the snow provided insulation to keep them warm.

Consumer Reports says you should try avoiding bug repellents with the chemical DEET, as they say it can come with some serious side effects. Instead, consider using repellents with picaridin or lemon eucalyptus.
