Family trying to recover weeks after deadly crash in the town of Clay

It’s been nearly three weeks since a deadly crash claimed the life of a Liverpool mom along Route 57 in the town of Clay.
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – It’s been nearly three weeks since a deadly crash claimed the life of a Liverpool mom along Route 57 in the town of Clay.

The surviving family members are still struggling in the wake of the incident in which Meagen Patterson died.

According to a fundraising page set up by friends of the Patterson family, 10-year-old Olivia Patterson is paralyzed from the waist down after suffering serious damage to her spine and abdomen.

She remains in the pediatric intensive care unit at Upstate University Hospital and is expected to undergo several more surgeries soon.

Her father, Lance Patterson, is still hospitalized and undergoing rehabilitation for multiple broken bones.

14-year-old Justin Root was recently re-hospitalized after complications from his injuries.

2-year-old Sophia Patterson suffered a broken arm. She is in the care of family members.

A trust has been established for anyone who wants to help the family.
