Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - The Liverpool man struck and killed while walking near Destiny USA on Friday morning was laid to rest Wednesday night.

Friends and family are paid their respects to 27-year-old Robert Bevard at the Maurer Funeral Home on Route 31 in Baldwinsville.

The case against the Liverpool woman charged in his death has been sent to a grand jury.

Syracuse Police say 39-year-old Alicia Alampi was driving with a blood alcohol level nearly twice the legal limit when she hit Bevard with her SUV.

Investigators say she didn't stop, but her license plate fell off, and that's what led police to her home.

Alampi, who is charged with DWI and Vehicular Manslaughter, has pleaded not guilty and is currently out on bail.
