An uncommon stretch of dry weather: Dave Longley's blog

It may be cool, but it's dry today. We will get our first dry day since April 24th, and we could be in line for something this week, we haven't enjoyed in a month.
(WSYR-TV, Syracuse) - Mark it down.  Today is the first dry day in CNY since April 24th.  Dry meaning not even a trace of rainfall was reported at Hancock Airport.  Here's the rainfall over that time:
  • 4/24                0"
  • 4/25                .22"
  • 4/26                .11"
  • 4/27                .01"
  • 4/28                Trace
  • 4/29                .43"
  • 4/30                .01"
  • 5/1                  .09"
  • 5/2                  Trace
  • 5/3                  .04"
  • 5/4                  .04"

It seems we just can't buy more than a day of dry weather, sandwiched between several gloomy and damp days.
Looking back through the last month, we haven't had consecutive dry days since March 31 through April 3.

Based on our forecast for this week, we should be dry Monday through Wednesday, before showers move back into the forecast by Thursday.

Enjoy the dry weather, and get out there and mow!
