Take a load off this election day and let Our Lady of Pompei do the cooking. Their annual election day spaghetti supper will fill up your stomach and spirits. You might even catch a glimpse of the candidate you voted for there too.
The parish is celebrating its 70th year serving voters dinner and is a local favorite year after year. The meal includes spaghetti, meatballs, salad, bread and desert.
Preparations for the dinner begins weeks in advance of election day as a large team of volunteers and the entire 6th grade class roll over 6,000 meatballs for the event. Thousands of meals are served including nearly 800 take out orders.
The 70th Annual Our Lady of Pompei Spaghetti Supper is happening on election day, Tuesday, November 5th, from 11:30am to 7:00pm inside the Cathedral Academy at Pompei School Cafeteria, 915 N. McBride Street, Syracuse.
Dinners for adults are $10.00, children ages 5 to 10 are $7.00 and kids under 5 eat free. Prove you were born in 1949 and get your meal for $7.00 plus a free take out meal.
Take out and delivery orders are also $10.00 and can be placed by calling 315-422-8548.
