CNY Arts is holding their 46th annual “On My Own Time” business and visual arts program. “The arts worlds and the business worlds, people see them as very separate things,” said Kara Greene, the program coordinator. “But there is a lot of overlap.”
The program seeks to help local businesses celebrate creativity among their employees.
Keri White is a photographer who was encouraged to participate by her late colleague at Saint Joseph’s Health. “St. Joe’s tries to foster that family kind of atmosphere and it’s things like this that really help strengthen that,” said White.
Participating artists showcase their work through their workplace and an exhibition at the Everson Museum of Art.
Patrick Johnson is a construction manager by day and practices woodwork by night. “There’s plenty of inspiration out there,” said Johnson.
There will be an informational luncheon on Friday March 22nd. To find out how you can participate you can click here.
