A new comedy is set to hit the stage in Central New York this weekend. Award-Winning Syracuse New Times columnist Jeff Kramer and Actress Moe Harrington stopped by to tell us about the full-length play, “The Golden Bitch.”
Being Kramer’s third written play, the plot revolves around a dinner party and involves a fight between two couples. One couple owns a dog shelter and the other couple looks to find a designer dog from a breeder. An argument then breaks loose during a dinner when the truth comes out. The title stems from important topics discussed such as dog rescue and breeders, but Jeff says the play is about more than just dogs. Moe says her favorite part about the play is being able to work with new and fresh material. Naturally, humorist Kramer cracked some jokes on the show, hinting at the type of the humor that will be seen in the play.
The play premieres this Friday, April 21st at Cazenovia College Catherine Cummings Theatre. For tickets, visit www.cazenovia.edu/tickets or call (315) 655-7827. Cash donations for animal welfare organizations will be accepted after the performance.
