Syracuse Stage Presents Kate Hamill’s Adaptation of “Pride and Predjudice”

As Seen On

Syracuse Stage’s production of Pride and Prejudice brings the classic British novel to life in a contemporary style.

The tale of love in 19th Century Britain follows Elizabeth Bennet, played by actress Angela Janas, who faces pressure to find a suitable husband from her high-society mother.

The distant, self-obsessed Mr. Darcy, played by Carman Lacivita, captures Elizabeth’s attention. She’s not only caught between her own desires and the standards of the time but in this adaptation the choice not to marry at all.

The famous love story is being adapted by playwright Kate Hamill for the 21st Century.

The show opens March 20th at Syracuse Stage and runs through April 7th.

Syracuse Stage offers a “pay-what-you-will” ticket option on Wednesday, March 20th.  Pay-what-you-will tickets must be claimed in person at the Box Office on Wednesday only. There is a limit of two tickets per person, subject to availability.  These tickets are sold on a first come, first served basis.
