February 19 is ‘World Love Your Pet Day’ and so it’s a good time to think about the well-being and safety of animals.
Invisible Fence of the Finger Lakes, Midstate and Syracuse has been helping pet owners for nearly half a century. Their system features exclusive technology that helps pets learn boundaries and stay safe, even when you’re not home with them.
“A big part of it is the training but also the technology that we deploy” says owner Kurt Grage. “Most people don’t realize we’ve been in business 47 years already and so between the technology and the training, that’s the key aspect of what we do.”
Grage and his team help homeowners by not only installing the Invisible Fence Brand product on their properties but teaching them how to use it correctly. Animals wear a collar which Grage says receives a static electric stimulation that doesn’t hurt the animal but encourages it to go back in the yard, or to stop and not leave the yard at all.
Grage, whose dog Ruby is pictured below, says it’s important that pets get all the love, food and exercise they need. He also reminds pet owners that during the cold and snowy months pets shouldn’t be left outside for too long.
