Central New York is home to the only all female Indigenous Rowers Club in the country. The crew team is from the Onondaga Nation and are holding a fashion show as a fundraiser this coming Thursday. Here with details about the event is team founder, Asa Shenandoah, and fashion designer Michelle Hope Van Dyke. Michelle designs based off of her emotions instead of nature and architecture. She likes to use strong lines and brokenness, things you may not see in current fashion. She finds great beauty in the brokenness and shared a bit about her experiences growing up that inspired her designs. The Threads of Sound Fundraising Fashion Show will be held Thursday at 7PM, upstairs at Dinosaur BBQ. Admission is $10 at the door with $20 VIP available as well.
