One of the biggest movie hits of all time will come to life on stage at The Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival beginning August 30th.
“Ghost: The Musical” retells the story of Sam and Molly and how their life takes a turn when Sam is killed by a street thug and finds himself trapped between two worlds. Actors Derek Carley and Sara Ellis will both make their Finger Lakes Debut at the Merry Go Round Playhouse later this month and are thrilled to put their own spin on the production.
Both actors are looking forward to the more intimate production and are both enjoying the smaller cast. Together they both hope to capture the essence of the popular characters with their own spirit and style.
“Ghost” will take audiences through a funny and suspenseful story with all the same promise of the romanticism that fans saw with Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg. And audience members should be prepared to fall in love over and over again as they reminisce over the popular score that made the film so famous.
“Ghost: The Musical” takes to the stage on August 30th and runs through September 16th at the Preston H. Thomas Theatre in the Merry Go Round Playhouse. For tickets and more information visit fingerlakesmtf.com.
