From bold to understated, makeup can make or break a look. Makeup artist and lifestyle consultant Christina Samuels returns to show some great spring makeup trends.
Samuels shares three trends for the season that are simple for a beginner or can be amplified for an expert. First, consider changing your eyeliner. From soft and smudged to cat eye to color, Samuels says playing around with your eyeliner is the thing to do this spring. On model Mackenzie she uses a metallic liner which gives a softer look than your average black.
Blush is the biggest trend of this season. Samuels says gone are the days of natural blush, try a bold color. Smile when applying blush and use a flicking technique for the best results. Start at the apple of the cheek and bring it up.
Don’t forget about your lips. Samuels says once again use color but really soft to match your blush. On model Mackenzie she uses Tarte Lipsurgence lip crème.
Following these tips will give you a color on the lips, cheeks and with a more neutral eye a pop of color there too. Samuels says you’ll see color this spring just not over the top.
