Syracuse’s Oncenter Complex is hosting its first event in the Civic Center since March of 2020 – and it’s one of the top Irish folk bands in the world!
The High Kings will perform Friday, September 17 at 8pm in the Carrier Theater.
“We are so excited about it” says Brian Dunphy, who is part of The High Kings along with Darren Holden, Finbarr Clancy and Paul O’ Brien.
The group is expected to perform their hits plus songs from their new album, Home from Home.
“When it comes to song choice and putting melodies together and songs, I think that’s what really has held us together for so long” says Dunphy. “We always include the fans in our songs and the sing-alongs that we do and we like to call them the 5th High King. I think that’s what’s kind of kept us really together and to push forward and 2022 is going to be a phenomenal year for The High Kings.”
The High Kings are no stranger to Central New York. Watch the video above to see Dunphy share some memories with Bridge Street host Sistina Giordano.
Tickets are still available for Friday’s concert. Per country guidelines, masks will be required to be worn during the event and attendees will have their temperature taken before being able to enter.
