The 38th annual Holiday in Homer festival is happening on Saturday, July 20th. This year’s festival will feature over 125 artisans and crafters, a full day of music, local shopping, delicious food, and entertainment for all ages.
The day kicks off with a 3K or 5K fun run and then follows with the festivities.
This is a big annual event for the picturesque town of Homer.
“It’s really a full day of family fun, despite the heat,” said Louise Felker, committee member for the event.
The show has events both inside and outside, including a quilt show in the congregational church, a luncheon, tours of the Brewster house, and more. All of the vendors have tents for visitors pop under and get a break from the sun. Hand-crafted items will be available for purchase as well.
The festival continues to grow with more vendors and more bands participating each year. In the morning, the Crown City Browns Band will be performing followed by the Developments, who will be taking the stage in the afternoon.
Proceeds from this year’s Holiday in Homer festival will go toward benefiting the community in various ways.
“It’s a great community to be a part of, even if you’re just going to be a Homer-ite for the day,” said Felker.
The festival will be from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. For directions, parking information and more, visit HolidayInHomer.org.
