(WSYR-TV) — It is Law Enforcement Day at the Great New York State Fair. It’s a day to honor the men and women who serve and protect their communities.

New York State Police work to keep the Fairgrounds safe. Today we are going to learn more about their mounted detail. Troop A Sergeants Chris Waiss and Jordan Sheehan joined the show.

You’ll find the state police exhibit just outside the Horticulture Building at the gateway to the Midway, featuring rappelling demonstrations, historical displays, and a great chance to get to know all the state police do in the community. They’re there right through Labor Day.
